Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled forklift operator with a minimum of 6 months of sitdown forklift and order selecting experience. This role is very physical, requiring the ability to lift between 50-100 lbs. The position involves spending 20% of the shift on the forklift moving materials and 80% order selecting drums of carwash solution. Reliable transportation is essential as the location is not on a bus line.

Responsibilities

  • Select stock to fill customer orders

  • Read order requirements and shelf locations

  • Ensure order accuracy while meeting productivity goals

  • Build and prepare pallets for shipping

  • Safely operate equipment required to pick stock from shelves

  • Work with team members and supervisors to ensure coordination of work

  • Perform additional job duties as required

Work Environment

This role operates in a new facility that is not temperature controlled, meaning it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The position involves a 5-day work week from Monday to Friday, with the first shift running from 7am to 3:30pm, though it may start as early as 6:30am. Expect 5-10 hours of overtime weekly. You will report to the team lead and work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
