Summer Academy Coordinator
HV-KOC-SAC S25
In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support Visas. Applicants must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.
Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree and two years’ experience involving the supervision of children in a formal setting. Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to deal with behavioral issues and provide direction to staff.
The Summer Academy Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean of Community, Professional, and Workforce Development and is assigned the following duties and responsibilities subject to review and revision to meet the needs of the program.
2025 Summer Camp dates are: June 30, 2025-August 15, 2025

Among the facilities under the direct supervision of the Coordinator with respect to this program are:
Day Care Center
Williams Hall
Outdoor areas used by this program; as well as other buildings as needed.
Administration:
The Coordinator responsibilities include:
· Coordinates collection, input and tracking of paperwork for camp participants.
· Disseminates policies and procedures to Summer Academy staff.
· Monitors camp supplies and prepares orders.
· Responsible for (camp check in and check out procedures).
· Provides onsite supervision for the Summer Academy Program.
· Creates an enthusiastic and team orientated environment.
· Models appropriate behaviors and provides positive reinforcement for camp counselors and participants.
· Interact with counselors, parents, teachers, and other camp administrators to facilitate smooth day-to-day operation of programs.
· Meets weekly with Assistant Dean to discuss and resolve camp related issues.
· Schedules counselor assignments in Summer Academy Program.
· Provides oversight to before/after care programs.
· Assists/mentors counselors with behavior issues and other responsibilities.
· Responsible for maintaining confidential records
· Prepares statistical and evaluative reports for Summer Academy
· Assists in end of season activities related to Kids on Campus Programs.
· Performs other duties as necessary and appropriate to the success of the program.
Hourly rate for this position is $25.00
