Job Purpose

ICE Data Services, a part of Intercontinental Exchange, is seeking a Manager, Derivatives Market Data within ourData Derivatives area. This group supports critical processes across front, middle and back offices around the world, and offerscross-asset analytical solutions, market data and valuation capabilities.The team supports intraday, real-time decision-making in financial organizations by linking strategic objectives with actions for our customers.

This individual will monitor and manage cross asset financial market data, providing support for the Americas region through comprehensive financial markets and derivatives data analysis, data remediation and calibration. The Manager assures that the Data Derivatives team provides support to Sales, Product Specialist and Account Management, ensuring quick and responsive turn around to our clients’ existing and potential requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement data management procedures and methodologies to reflect the needs of the cross asset market

  • Research market conventions and calculation models according to common industry practices

  • Maintain a cross asset multifaceted monitoring and analysis systems using methodologies for quality control and data remediation to ensure the integrity of the market data

  • Work closely with Product Managers and R&D teams to develop workflows, quality assurance processes and product enhancements

  • Interact with clients in response to queries and challenges; collect new requests and requirements from clients

  • Support data sales in the Americas region and maintain key client relationships through pre-sale meetings, proof of concept, onboarding process, direct technical support and due diligence meetings

  • Maintain relationships with key data providers

  • Approach and research potential contributors in the Americas region by discussing formats, conventions and model assumptions, performing coverage and quality checks, etc

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with derivatives, futures and option markets and how instruments for each asset class is marked, priced and calibrated

  • 5+ years of investment data experience with an understanding of systems and data management

  • 3+ years of experience with writing SQL queries

  • Strong experience with excel and Python preferred

  • Strong quantitative orientation, analytical skills, a high level of intellectual curiosity, tolerance for ambiguity and seasoned judgment

  • Exceptional data analysis experience working with large data sets and multiple sources of data

  • Can work with limited guidance on complex projects. Anticipates change and is comfortable with multiple priorities

  • Must be able to explore multiple solutions to a problem and present and defend solutions based on an analysis of facts and an understanding of client needs

  • Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility

  • Self-starter with proven ability to organize and direct quality work efforts

  • Ability to communicate well across all levels of the organization

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required
