This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Manager to be located in the Northeastern U.S. The right candidate may sit out of any mutually agreed WSP USA Northeastern office location.
Be involved in projects with our Transit & Rail Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead project teams and direct subject matter experts, and third-party partners to design and implement ITS and system projects
Deliver quality projects on schedule and meet the budget and financial requirements established for the projects (both for the client as well as WSP)
Provide quality assurance and quality control oversight
Prepare technical reports and cost estimates which include the creation of functional and technical specification documentation
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
12 or more years of related experience and responsibilities delivering ITS bus and rail solutions for public transit authorities
Experience with designing and implementing Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), Automated Voice Annunciation (AVA), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), Automatic Passenger Counting (APC), Paratransit and Fixed-Route Scheduling Software, and Dynamic Passenger Information (DPI) Systems
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation, Transportation Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
Experience with conceptual plans, specifications and proposal development
