Summer Internship Program

Our paid, 10-week Internship Program provides students the opportunity to work with a diverse pool of talent in the Energy/Renewable industry.

This is your opportunity to join our talented team!

Dates: June 6, 2022 through August 12, 2022

Length of Program: 10 weeks (40-hour work week)

Location: Valhalla, NY

• Assist with the design process of solar development; including conceptual, preliminary, permitting, and construction designs/drawings. This would include HelioScope and AutoCad layouts and production estimates.

• Work with pricing estimates including soliciting material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.

• Participate in the permitting and interconnection filings and process.

• Attend jobsite visits, pre-bid site visits and project meetings, including monitoring construction progress.

There will be multiple ground mounted and roof top solar projects in construction this summer, including sites in NY, which should provide valuable field experience. These projects also include Battery Energy Storage and provide added exposure to this area of the business.

• Preferred Academic Discipline(s): Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution

• Ability to commute to our Valhalla, NY office

• General engineering background

• CAD experience is required

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills and attention to details

• Working knowledge of how solar panels work, and have an understanding of power generation
