REDCOM Facilities Maintenance Technician in victor, New York

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs daily and seasonal, periodic, and emergency maintenance on facilities and grounds Assignments on property using skills in plumbing, electrical and mechanical trades for large facility and grounds Works on mobile and stationary equipment Climbs on ladders, snow removal, lawn mowing, and equipment maintenance Operates power equipment and hand tools Performs janitorial duties when required

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO FULFILL THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Knowledge (education and training): High School Diploma 1-3 years of related experience, preferred skills in plumbing, electrical Must be a US citizen or permanent resident. EOE, AA, M/F/Vet/Disability Employer

Critical Skills: Ability to take direction and flexibility between tasks Adaptability to complete various tasks as business needs change and work effectively with various employees across all functional disciplines. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills. Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed inside and outside a large facility and grounds, including a manufacturing plan which may include exposure to fluctuations in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, chemicals, fumes or airborne particles. Work shifts may vary between the hours of 5:30 AM and 11:00 PM. This is subject to change.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently, and for extended periods of time, stand, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, hear, have visual acuity, and have manual dexterity (use of fingers for fine activities) due to the nature of the position. Required to lift light to moderately heavy objects with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting or carrying of objects up to and over 50 pounds. When required, the employee will use all personal protective equipment provided by the Company in compliance with OSHA regulations, including, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety foot wear, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
