ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Business Development Assistant to join our team in a seasonal role for 30-40 hours per week through mid-January 2022. This role will support cultivating existing partnerships, researching new opportunities, exploring business development opportunities, gathering data and supporting the organization (project management duties) that ensures the team can operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You are a well-organized, quick learner with a can-do and positive spirit who is passionate about learning the ropes of business development and supporting revenue-generating opportunities as they come to life.
This role collaborates cross-functionally with teams including but not limited to Experiences, creative, marketing, merchandising, product development and analytics.
The Business Development Assistant will report to Head of Strategy and New Business.
This is a fully remote role, and you must be a resident of New York State. You will provide your own computer, internet connection, and headset device.
Supporting the head of business development with research, competitive benchmarking and other projects to help build go-forward plans for the department.
Creating tracking tools to help communicate prospecting progress for partnerships and experiences to internal partners.
Joining meetings and capturing notes, next-steps and keeping projects on-schedule via project management ownership.
Working collaboratively with internal and external parties to gather information and ensure projects are executed in a timely fashion.
Researching potential partners, instructors, and organizations to ensure values alignment. Provide advice and guidance on priority of outreach based on potential.
Oversee and lead timeline management to ensure all projects and partnerships are on-track.
Facilitating classes on an as-needed basis.
Candidates must be open to working non-traditional hours to support facilitation of classes on nights/weekends.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communication, or an equivalent field preferred
1-2+ years of experience
Skills: Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Project Management software (we use Asana and Trello), Zoom
Excellent written and verbal communication.
