We are hiring a Project Manager to join our Production department at GeekHive. This position will report to our Sr. Manager, PMO and will be responsible for the successful delivery of marketing technology enablement projects for our clients. As a central point of contact to our clients, you will have a significant influence on our company?s success. Doing this is no small feat. As a Project Manager you?ll demonstrate leadership skills to guide, coach, and motivate team members to reach their potential. Tactical skills such as managing Agile teams, time management, financial planning, issue management, meeting facilitation and status reporting will be necessary. None of our projects are one-size-fits-all. You?ll need to be comfortable sometimes navigating ambiguous project definitions and molding them into valuable end-products for our clients.


  • Responsible for managing and coaching the project/program management team, including managing the performance of existing staff, structuring career paths, and hiring additional team members as necessary.

  • Responsible for providing guidance and direction to the organization as to effective project management and Agile best practices.

  • Responsible for maturing the Project Management practice to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

  • Responsible for leading/championing process improvement efforts across the company.

  • Responsible for ensuring process improvement outcomes are built with scalability and sustainability in mind (system optimization, rather than local optimization).

  • Responsible for creating transparency around process improvement efforts through venues such as demos, trainings or public rollouts.

  • Accountable for the health of the active portfolio of projects, including on-time scope delivery and financial health.

  • Accountable for the effective and timely management of project- and portfolio-level risks.

  • Responsible for building and maintaining an appropriate level of governance over the portfolio, including reporting the state of the portfolio to company leadership.

  • Accountable for ensuring that the time entry policy is well understood and followed by production staff.

  • Responsible for managing the resource demand forecast and resulting recruitment roadmap.

  • Responsible for aligning the resource demand forecast with Finance?s revenue/cost forecasts to determine headcount authorization.

  • Responsible for maintaining a clear picture of the available resource inventory.


  • Minimum of 7 years project management/leadership experience in an application development organization as an individual, team leader, and/or development manager.

  • A record of driving successful delivery of web and/or mobile applications.

  • Demonstrable understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and using them to effectively deliver technology products to market.

  • Comfort with switching gracefully between strategic (project management, account management, etc.) and tactical (scrum master, requirements discussions, etc.) contexts as the situation demands.

  • Previous experience developing web or mobile applications desired.

  • Experience with Atlassian Jira & Confluence, or equivalents, desired.

  • Knowledge of content management systems such as Sitecore, Drupal, Episerver, or WordPress desired.
