The Salvation Army Drop in Center Director in Watertown, New York



The Drop In Center Director is to oversee and facilitate the annual summer drop in center. This is a seasonal position from July 18th through September 2nd.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Interview and hire the “Employment and Training Workers” for the summer• Responsible for all paper work, time sheets, reviews, etc for “Employment and Training Workers”• Responsible for calling lunch numbers for the daily lunch program• Responsible for making up a well-planned schedule by week of crafts, speakers, activities, movies, etc• Responsible for handling all medical emergencies, including incident reports• Responsible for daily statistic reporting• Responsible for keeping name, address and age file• Make sure that the areas are kept clean daily by summer youth staff

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:• Highly organized and ability to multi-task a must.• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.• Able to use Microsoft Word/Excel products.• Supervisory skills a plus.• Desire and ability to work with children.• Valid driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.We are an equal opportunity employer.
