DescriptionSolid Sealing Technology (SST) designs and manufactures small-scale electrical components used around the world. Our parts are found in many types of industrial, medical, and research facilities, and you will work with technologies used on equipment like energy storage systems, MRI machines, and particle accelerators. We have even sent parts to Mars! NASA's Mars Insight Mission uses components made right here in Watervliet, NY.Position Summary:The Production Team Member safely performs all assigned production support tasks according to instruction and documentation. The Production Team Member is responsible for some or all of the following, including other various duties as required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform a variety of production tasks such as assembling, painting, and testing small-scale components.Assemble parts, fixtures, and braze alloy as necessary.Apply coatings to ceramic insulators by hand or with automation.Operate leak detector to test parts for proper hermetic (air-tight) seal.Operate machinery which may include various types of blasting equipment.Perform rinsing or cleaning of components and assemblies, manually or in automated equipment.Read work instructions, blueprints, and other documentation.Accurately record completed work in computer system.Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procedures and goals are met.Continuously identify opportunities for improvement (OFI); suggest ways to improve processes.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment doing repetitive work preferred.Must be dependable and a motivated team player.Work independently with minimal supervision.Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions, etc.Read and understand documentation, including instructional and health and safety documents.Basic computer and data entry skills or willingness to learn.Utilize basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, decimals, fractions, etc.Manual dexterity to hold small items and use hand tools.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other legally protected status.Annualized Salary: $35,360-41,600 per yearBenefitsSolid Sealing Technology offers comprehensive benefits for full-time positions, and many begin on first day of employment.Generous Holidays, Vacation and Paid Sick LeaveHealth, Dental and Vision InsuranceEmployer-funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)Matched 401k Retirement Savings PlanProfit Sharing and BonusesGroup Life Insurance and optional Voluntary Life InsuranceDisability InsuranceHealth Flexible Savings Account (FSA)Dependent Care Assistance PlanAn Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Full access to on-site Fitness Center and recreational facilities (Watervliet Arsenal)On-site Full Day School-Age Summer Camp Program (reduced fee)
