Encorus Group Engineering Health & Safety Manager in West Seneca, New York

Are you a seasoned Safety Professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity to apply your expertise and make a lasting impact?We are seeking a part-time Health and Safety Manager to oversee the safety operations of our field-based activities. This role offers approximately 10 hours a week with a focus on ensuring regulatory compliance, managing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing ongoing safety training. You will collaborate closely with our administrative team, who play a key role in supporting safety initiatives by managing databases, tracking safety metrics, and assisting with data reporting.This is a great opportunity for someone eager to share their expertise in fostering a strong safety culture.Responsibilities:Implement and manage existing safety programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure alignment with OSHA standards.Oversee safety training to ensure all team members and contractors are adequately certified and trained.Lead incident investigations with thorough documentation, collaborating on corrective actions and preventive measures.Provide safety oversight for field operations to ensure compliance with customer contracts.Develop and manage emergency response plans, including planning and executing safety drills.Coordinating with administrative staff to track, analyze, and report safety statistics, incidents, audits, and training results.Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address safety concerns, fostering a proactive safety culture.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is a plus.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in safety program management, ideally in field-based environments (e.g., construction, consulting).Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.Professional certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, CIH) are a plus.Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with a strong ability to work independently.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to adjust work hours to meet business requirements and priorities.Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.Valid driver’s license with the flexibility to travel locally and occasionally out of state.Compensation:The hourly rate for this position is $40.00 - $60.00, with actual compensation based on knowledge, skills, and experience.Encorus Group is an equal opportunity employer (EOE/AA Disability/Veteran), committed to fair and equitable compensation.
