Express Employment Professionals Kitchen Supervisor in White Plains, New York

Kitchen Supervisor:

Qualifications:

Possess a Food Handler’s Certificate,
2 years’ experience in the management and organization of kitchen staff.
Knowledge of USDA and Health Codes pertaining to food service.

Setting: Summer day camp in Chappaqua, NY that provides daily lunch service and two snacks for 600 campers and staff.

Responsibilities: The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the organization, operation and management of the camp food service.

Orientation: Job includes attending 2 days of camp orientation and 3 overnights

The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible to fulfill the following duties.

Manage kitchen staff to prepare breakfast, lunch, and snack each day
Prepare 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts for the overnights, requiring later and earlier hours on those four days.
Prepare additional meals for Parents Day
Order the provisions and supplies using the camp requisition process.
Accept deliveries, store provisions, and keep track of invoices
Train, orient, and manage the kitchen staff of 6(Assistant Chef and 6 Kitchen Aides)
Fill out all paperwork required for the SFSP reimbursement program.
Maintain the food service in accordance with Dept of Health, SFSP, and ACA.
Maintain the cleanliness of the eating areas between the lunch sessions.
