Job Title: Bus Person

Job Area: Mulligan's / Seasons / Rock'n Mexicana / The Club

Department: Food and Beverage

Reports To: Culinary Services Manager

Overview of Position: A Bus Person is responsible for efficiently cleaning and resetting tables, and to assist servers wherever needed and to run food. They are expected to uphold the standards of guest relations with friendliness and cleanliness as outlined by the Food & Beverage Department.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be self-motivated and willing to take the initiative.

  • Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.

  • Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy and crowded work environment.

  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and to remain standing for an entire work shift.

  • Able to serve both beverage and food quickly, courteously, and efficiently.

  • Able to navigate congested areas with an overhead held weighted tray.

  • Able to assist numerous tables simultaneously without confusion and work cooperatively with wait staff.

  • Must be available Thursdays - Saturdays

Job Duties: The list below best represents many of the tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment at Windham Mountain Resort. This list of duties is not intended to represent all of the tasks you may be asked to perform, however Windham Mountain Resort will never require you to perform a task that is inherently unsafe or that you are not adequately trained to perform.

  • Complete familiarization of the menu.

  • Bus tables and reset properly.

  • Set up and maintain bus stations. Ensure that stations remain neat and presentable.

  • Break down stations at end of shift, dry flatware etc.

  • Keep work area clean and neat at all times.

  • Follow direction accurately from manager, hostess/host, waitperson, expediter etc.

  • Assist co-workers in any way possible.

  • At all times be friendly, polite and courteous to guests.

It is important to note that while staff is involved in the promotion of a festive atmosphere and the service of alcohol, we expect our employees to maintain a professional appearance and refrain from indulging in any consumption what so ever during work hours.

Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a quality product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.

We will attempt to offer consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling requests, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests. We expect employees to arrive promptly.

Dress Code:

  • Name Tag must always be worn - no exceptions.

  • Must be neat and clean -nails clean: overall approachable appearance.

  • Black pant (worn at or above the hips), uniform shirt (issued), apron (issued), black shoes, & black belt.

  • Clothing items should not be wrinkled, frayed, worn, transparent, or too revealing.
