Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have extensive knowledge in Lift Maintenance,
Must be in good physical condition.
Must have a mechanical and electrical background.
Must be comfortable working from heights.
Job Duties: The list below best represents many tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment here at Windham Mountain Resort. We cannot predict all the challenges that we many face in providing the product our guests expect. We will never ask you to perform a task that is inherently unsafe or that you are not adequately trained to perform.
Supervising and scheduling employees.
Budgeting for the lift maintenance department on a semi-annual basis.
Inspection and operation of lifts.
Maintenance and repair of all chair and surface lifts.
The safety and well-being of guests and employees riding and working on lifts is our first priority.
Monitoring and maintaining of lift equipment.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance functions.
Create and execute process of routine inspections, preventive maintenance, repair/replacement of parts and components.
Maintenance and repair of all lift electrical systems, as deemed necessary to promote the safest and most reliable service possible through the winter and summer operating seasons.
Performs major preventive maintenance and repair activities on all lifts during summer season.
May assist with other electrical issues throughout the resort.
Completes required inspections.
Provide accurate up-to-date record keeping of completed maintenance.
Partner with Lift Operations in the monitoring and maintaining of lift equipment.
Closely monitor lifts on a day-to-day basis.
Locate, properly use, and care for all Lift Department tools and machinery, including skis, snowmobiles and other vehicles.
Know, understand and comply with all A.N.S.I. codes and regulations.
Attend relevant industry and association seminars to learn new electrical maintenance techniques and technology. Ideally be able to present at industry/association programs depending upon experience and expertise.
Read and interpret technical operating and maintenance manuals and documents.
Assure that safety practices are followed.
Participate in safety meetings.
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing an Above and Beyond product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you are expected to work. You can expect to be asked to work additional hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods or in the event of a break down on one of the lifts.
As part of the leadership at Windham Mountain, we will attempt to provide consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling request, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests.
Name Tag must always be worn – no exceptions.
Must be neat and clean – shower daily, nails clean: overall approachable appearance.
Outdoor Uniform: Uniform jacket (issued), black pants (issued - worn at or above hipbones), black gloves, WMR hat, suspenders worn correctly.
Adhere to all OSHA standards and wear proper PPE when required.
