Job Area: All Windham Mountain Lifts including Adventure Park
Department: Mountain Operations
Reports To: Lift Maintenance Manager
Overview of Position: Safety is of the utmost importance. You are responsible for the maintenance, safe operation, and inspection of the lift system as well as the safety of passengers and personnel.
Job Duties: The list below best represents many tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment here at Windham Mountain. We cannot predict all the challenges that we many face in providing the product our guests expect. We will never ask you to perform a task that is inherently unsafe or that you are not adequately trained to perform.
Ensuring the Safety and wellbeing of passengers and personnel riding and working on lifts is our first priority.
Inspection and operation of lifts.
Maintenance and repair of all chair and surface lifts.
Assist in the monitoring and maintaining of lift equipment.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance functions.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, repair/replacement of parts and components.
Maintenance and repair of all lift electrical systems, as deemed necessary to promote the safest and most reliable service possible through the winter operating season.
Perform major preventive maintenance and activity related repairs on ski lifts during non-operating season.
May assist with other electrical issues throughout the resort.
Complete all required inspections.
Provide accurate up-to-date record keeping of completed maintenance.
Assist Lift Operators in the monitoring and maintaining of lift equipment.
Closely monitor lifts on a daily basis.
Locate, properly use, and care for all Lift Department tools and machinery, including skis, snowmobiles and other vehicles.
Know, understand and comply with all A.N.S.I. codes and regulations.
Attend relevant industry and association seminars to learn new electrical maintenance techniques and technology.
Read and interpret technical operating and maintenance manuals and documents.
Assure that safety practices are followed.
Participate in safety meetings.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be in good physical condition.
Must have a mechanical and electrical background.
Must be comfortable working from heights.
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a quality product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods or in the event of a break down on one of the lifts.
We will attempt to offer consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling requests, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests. We expect employees to arrive promptly.=
Name Tag must always be worn – no exceptions.
Must be neat and clean – shower daily, nails clean: overall approachable appearance.
Outdoor Uniform: Uniform jacket (issued), black pants (issued - worn at or above hipbones), black gloves, WM hat, suspenders worn correctly.
Adhere to all OSHA standards and wear proper PPE when required.
